Now that Kate is able to communicate, Josh and I are amazed at the things that come out of her mouth...Tonight Kate was sitting on Josh's lap and he was asking her, "Who loves you more than me?" The response he was trying to teach her was, "no one". Which she picked up on and said after the next time she was asked. Josh was delighted and asked her a second time, "Who loves you more than me?", to which she replied, "Jesus" with a smile. Just writing it brings tears to my eyes. We never taught her this which just warms my heart! Ever since she has started to talk, she has always recognized picutres of Jesus and points him out, saying, "Jesus!" so excitedly. Josh says she remembers Him and I truly do believe that. They say the veil is thin in little ones and Kate's love and recognition of Him, no matter what picture, or how He is dressed, or what depiction it is, she always points Him out. The other day she pulled out a left over book of Christmas stamps from my purse that had a picture of the Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus. She never saw the stamps before and brought them to me and said, "Baby Jesus". If you don't know know what the stamp looks like, I posted. I have no idea how she knew that was Baby Jesus, but she did. Amazing!!
Kate has been saying the blessing before dinner as well. She does very well and if we don't ask her to do it, she tells us, "blessing?" with her arms folded with such reverence. The other night we went to Chili's for dinner and when the food arrived, Josh and I started digging in. Kate reverently folded her arms and said, "blessing?". We looked at each other and felt so proud that she remembered what was important even when we forget.
I'll say it again...AMAZING!!!

That is so sweet! It is so true about the veil being so thin. I love this posting! Give her a big hug and kiss from us for being so "amazing"!
What a testimony of the Savior! I've heard of similar experiences from other little ones. I have to say...the first time you brought Kate to church [before joining] she was smiling so big. I leaned over to Ryan and said, "She knows." I truly believe your sweet little angel had a real big part in your conversion. My heart is full and tears are streaming. I'm amazed at your sweet little family. I can't wait to hear her say it and "blessing?" Love you so much! Melissa & Ry
